It’s time to refocus your energy on taking care of YOU! You’ll learn breathing and meditation techniques on the Zen Deck, surrounded by lush tropical plants and the sounds of nature. You’ll set off on a gentle hike through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pigeon Island National Park, arriving at the top of what’s left of an old fort. As you enjoy the breathtaking views of the ocean ahead of you, you will be guided in your yoga practice by Dr. Samantha Semmalar, a highly skilled Ayurvedic doctor!

You’ll choose from an array of land and sea activities to get your heart pumping and your body moving. You’ll also join in with other like-minded women as we paddle board and kayak to nearby Smuggler’s Cove, snorkel in the crystal waters of Sugar Beach, bike ride to Gros Islet, and enjoy a nature hike that rewards you with stunning views of the Piton mountains. You’ll take time to soak yourself in the nourishing mud baths of Sulphur Springs, known to have incredible healing properties.

The Venue...
I’ve been to many islands in the Caribbean but St. Lucia has a special mix of beautiful beaches, active adventures and historical landmarks. You can certainly enjoy the plethora of water sports but you can also venture into the rainforests, hike the Pitons or explore the historical ruins of the French and British occupation as well as the sugar plantations that housed the many slaves. St. Lucia is the only island in the world that touts a drive-in volcano, Sulphur Springs , which is flocked by not only tourists from around the world but also the locals, because its mud baths detoxify the body and help heal ailments such as eczema and joint pain. Don’t worry, there’s no active volcano on the island. The people of St. Lucia are the friendliest you’ll ever meet, always greeting you with a smile and treating you like a welcomed guest in their homes.
We'll be spending 7 glorious nights on the North Coast of St. Lucia, near Rodney Bay. BodyHoliday, our all-inclusive wellness resort sits right in Cariblue Bay. The rooms offer all the comforts of home and provide stunning views of the ocean and the beach. There are a plethora of included programs, from fitness classes (both on and off the beach) to water sports, hiking, biking, archery, tennis and so much more. The award winning Wellness Center offers their signature BodyScience program, which allows Dr. Maha to create a wellness program based on your body’s specific make up and needs. Although this retreat is not going to focus on any particular wellness program, each of us will be able to get some insight from Dr. Maha during our included individual 30 min BodyScience consultation. You will also be able to choose a daily spa treatment from one of the 12 available options (I’ve tried most of them and they are fantastic!), which are all included in your stay. There are a wide variety of other treatment options available at a supplemental cost.
As the sun goes down, the resort comes to life. Enjoy a cocktail at the Piano Bar or the DJ spinning all your favorites beachside. There’s even live cover bands that coax you to the dance floor on certain nights (who can resist the draw of classic and current tunes?). You’ll be jamming and swaying with your Soul Sisters until the break of dawn.

I've always had a passion for travel and exploring other cultures. It must be gypsy blood because I'm happiest when I've packed my bags and am taking off to exotic destinations!
After a career in technology and being home with my three kids (now 17, 14, and 8), I decided to follow my heart and create Concierge Vacations. During a trip to India with my sister, I realized the beauty and ease of women traveling together. There is a natural rhythm and a dynamic energy that permeates throughout. Soon after my return, I started receiving numerous requests for women only trips-the Universe was giving me a very clear signal! I then launched Soul Sister Sojourns as a segment of Concierge Vacations. These trips are focused on bringing like- minded women together for wellness trips, cultural exploration and just plain fun!
As an entrepreneur, a wife and a mother of three, I understand the stress that an always-on-the-go schedule creates and the impact it can have on not only my physical but also my emotional well being. I've spent many a late night, into the early hours of the morning, trying to get it all done, only to find myself completely depleted and unable to fully engage with those I love the most. I yearn to be more present while learning how to create moments of calmness within the joyful craziness that is my life. I've started a yoga and meditation practice which have really helped in this regard. I'm also constantly in search of fun ways to get fit, Zumba and all forms of dance being my preferred methods. When I'm active, I feel recharged and ready to take on my day.
